Hearts and Beer Gear



With our nation's economy still in shambles, I'd say a simple, intimate "beer toast" this evening with your significant other -- is just as good as any.

And speaking of which, beer and all its gadgetry have actually gone hand in hand since Babylonian brewmeisters first used clay pots to ferment their mash. In the millennia since, technological innovations have often accompanied beermaking, and occasionally improved it.

Either way, you've got to admit that some were quite important. And that would definitely include the the year 1957, when we were introduced to the "Styrofoam Cooler."

The recycling breakthrough invention of the aluminum can (and the double-barreled beer hat) also comes to mind, as well as....
